Presentation from my Da Vinci Code: Fact or Fiction? classes at Village Seven Presbyterian Church:
by Bill Petro, your friendly neighborhood historian

bulletTitle:

Da Vinci Code: Fact or Fiction? What parts of the best-selling book are actually historical facts and which, purporting to be quasi nonfiction, are erroneous?

bulletAbstract:

The remarkably popular book, The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown is also a controversial book. While admittedly a novel, it purports to be factual in its description of artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals. At the same time, it casts doubt on the deity of Christ, the veracity of the New Testament and the work of the early church. We'll discuss these issues in the following classes.
